Rule changes should allow more big-pack racing and exciting passes in Sunday’s Daytona 500.
Michael Waltrip said Sunday Daytona 500 will be back in the past are like drivers of stock car racing can happen, and the cars hit about 2.5 kilometers high banks Superspeedway in large packages.

This is not a complaint, really, and regarded by some as a needed change.

"I think race is a crazy way of what we have seen in recent years," said Waltrip, twice winner of the time Daytona 500 for the first time in over 25 years to qualify for the event this year. "This is a very different game from what we saw in 2011, where they were paired two by two and walked like that all day."

Waltrip forecast is good news for fans of NASCAR and the drivers put the pedal in the 2012 season with his 54th Daytona 500 in Florida.

The race, often described as sports Super Bowl, the season starts and you can set the tone for what lies ahead.

NASCAR as a whole, is a crucial time. After two and two combo of last season at Daytona by NASCAR officials for rules change the game, the cars have changed again. No more carburetors fuel engines, gives a remainder of the game early - replaced by a fuel injection technology high. The rear wings are small and the rear bumper extended to the driver is able to move the car under control.

Also prohibited are radio communications between pilots, with one more comparison.

"Cars are a little harder to manage," said Waltrip, whose team has three cars in the field driven by Mark Martin, Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex Jr. "Cars must be in containers, there will be 10 or 12 of us in one package. is being prepared and is visually appealing. You can download and get a career in a man and that really happened. "

Once known as "the fastest growing sport in America," NASCAR has reached certain limits in recent years due to the economy and the story lines on the track. Last season ended upnote by beating Tony Stewart, Carl Edwards for the championship in the last race of the season.

Daytona is to hit the reset button. Each team spends months planning for the season opener. More than 180,000 fans jammed the highway before the race, and celebrities ranging from Lynch "Glee" Jane for Sports Illustrated Cover Girl Kate Upton is ready.

The Daytona 500 is the next big step for the IndyCar sensation Danica Patrick, who left NASCAR open wheel complete this season to join.

Patrick crashed into one of two qualifying races on Thursday and will start from the back of the pack of 43 cars on Sunday.

"Word is a demographic that may not be able to reach before," said Waltrip, who will be on Fox Sunday broadcast. "This allows our sport. I want to see her mix everything (on the track.) Is a great story to follow. "
It's just a story, however. When the sun goes down in Daytona Beach on Sunday, a driver will be hailed as the new champion of the Daytona 500, while another 42 will run as a race, with the same number of points than any other season in NASCAR.

Daytona one way or another is different.

"I mean, there's something magical in Daytona," Stewart told reporters Thursday. "If that's the biggest game of the season, especially the first, all drivers and all teams and all teams of pressure on himself for a race than they are anywhere else in the rest of the year ".

Or, as Waltrip, twice winner of the time of the event said: "You rarely presents itself as the champion twice Pocono You certainly presented as two-time champion of the Daytona 500.".
