'The Hour,' 'Conan,' 'The Daily Show'

This is the calm before the storm of new shows for autumn these days, as summer winds to their season series, the procedure is repeated and the air many of us bury his nose in the right - even books are not so good.

"The Hour": BBC America first in this series promises to Britain, which is affected by two "Broadcast News" and some "Mad Men." Established in 1956, following three broadcasters (who is played by Dominic West, aka McNulty from "The Wire") as they create a new news program. Beyond their love triangle, but conceals a surveillance system. (Troy Patterson of Slate has a good review.) Ben Whishaw and the cast includes Romola Garai. Nineteen, BBC America

"Conan" red evening guests is always friendly and Jessica Chastain Paul Rudd ("Tree of Life"). Twenty-three years, TBS

"The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee and now a political analyst for MSNBC. They have enough to talk. Twenty-three years, Comedy Central
