Weekend To Start With Sun, End With Rain

If you haven't done so already, today would be a really good day to call in sick. High pressure centered over Lake Erie means a warm, dry and sunny summer Friday. Look for a high in the mid 80s and perhaps a smattering of fluffy cumulus clouds late this afternoon. Clear skies tonight will make for perfect viewing of the Perseid Meteor Shower.

That high pressure system is going to move across the region tomorrow. Saturday will start out warm and dry but humidity will return later in the day. The timing of when the humidity will return is uncertain but tomorrow should be mostly sunny and a bit warmer than today. No matter the timing, we are likely to have a stormy, rainy Sunday. A storm will form in the wake of the high pressure system, bringing widespread showers and thunderstorms starting as early as late Saturday night.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely to continue through Monday. This storm isn't going to move very fast. In fact, the showers may linger into Tuesday before they give up the ghost. Highs all three days will be in the low 80s. Sunny skies are expected to return by mid-week.
